A Gaining Muscle Diet - 5 Essential Foods

A gaining muscle diet is an important part of your bodybuilding regime. Without the right sorts of foods and the right amount of calories your body will not have the right fuel to repair and grow muscles that are stressed and broken down during high intensity weight lifting workouts. As such picking the right foods to maintain a healthy and optimal meal plan for each day should be as much of a focus as your gym sessions.

Foods

Here are 5 great gaining muscle foods you should always include in your meal planning for the week.
  • Skinless Chicken Breast - You may already know this one but if you don't, be aware this is a bodybuilder's favorite. High in protein which is essential for muscle growth and low in fat this meat can be used in many different ways in your meals.
  • Broccoli - A fantastic vegetable which has a helpful attribute in that is raises testosterone levels. This very male hormone enhances muscle growth.

  • Dried Fruit and Unsalted Nuts - I include both of these together simply because they make great snack foods or sides to your lunches. Dried fruits are good sources of calories as are the nuts. Mixed nuts but especially almonds are high in omega 3 fatty acids which are the good fats you need for building muscles.
  • Egg Whites - Another bodybuilder favorite. Egg whites are packed with protein and are also low in fat without the yolk. Omelets made from these are a good breakfast or dinner and you can put them in your protein shakes also.
  • Legumes - Chick peas, kidney beans, lentils and such foods are a very good pure source of fiber which is important to keep your digestive system clean but also stops your blood sugar level low.

But, did you know that there are fruits that will help you with getting rid of excess weight in your body? There are different types of fruits that in their own ways would help you up in losing weight. The following are the best fruits for weight loss.

Healthy Eating

Every breakfast, have a banana in your meal. Bananas prepare your tummy for the day ahead. It supplies the needed amount of nutrients that are needed to supply energy for the entire day. This jump-starts your day and in a way prepares your digestive system. It has carbohydrates which supplies the body with needed nutrients to start-up and to sustain a day. Other variations include pear, mango and pineapple. Couple these fruits with cereals and you will get just the right nutrients you need for the day while consuming less which primarily aids weight loss.

Troubled by the number of foods prepared in the table? Before you eat, it would be best to consume watermelon first. Watermelon has a lot of water which is helpful in digestion. Furthermore, it would be a great help to have your stomach full beforehand so that your appetite will be suppressed thus achieving a whole lot of advantage in your quest to losing weight.

Berries too are great weight loss fruits. Raspberry for instance has Vitamin E which is a known antioxidant vitamin which clears the body from impurities that are caused by the foods eaten. It eliminates food matters that are not usually needed in the body and just stays to add to the total weight of the body. Moreover, its antioxidant properties get rid of the fats that are situated in the tissues of the body which, in time, gives the appearance of a flat stomach. So if you want to achieve such, it's a good idea to include berries in your diet. You might also like blackberry, cranberry and blueberries.

There is no wonder why fruits are used in some health drinks. Fruits have overwhelming benefits that makes the body stay fit to take on everyday activities. And one of the positive effects of having a fit body is losing unnecessary weight that comes hugging your body. These just deserve a place on your diet plan as it tends to help you by supplying nutrients while losing weight as well.

Increase Fat Burning By Learning To Eat Healthy

Have you ever noticed that desserts, fried foods, and chips taste so good, but are not good for you? Doesn't this realization make you want to scream? My children ask why mother nature's food doesn't taste as good as food that comes in a box. It just doesn't seem fair. Not only is box food tasty, it is so easy to prepare too. With our busy lives, it is nice to have anything convenient. Boxed food is also less expensive than health food. That doesn't seem right either. With so many things difficult surrounding nutritious food, no wonder we resort to what is yummy, easy, and cheap.

Fat Burning

But, the bad thing is, we will pay for it in the long run with medical bills, less energy, and extra pounds. So it is better learning to eat healthy as soon as you can to avoid the pitfalls you can encounter later. Even though it is difficult, it isn't impossible. Think about how easy it is to grab an apple and go. Many of nature's food is easy and ready to eat.

I've always tried to eat right, but I also love food and find it difficult to eat right all of the time. I had to change some snacks to more healthy ones, but, that helped so much. I know have new favorites that I crave. They are healthy and help me keep the fat off. I love how much more energy I have and my mood is happier too, when I am eating right.

Increase Fat Burning By Learning To Eat Healthy

*Visual. Have the food visual. Put fruit and veggies in a fruit bowl on the table or counter. That way it is easily accessible for everyone and reminds them of healthy snacks they can eat.

*Prepare. Chop up fruits and veggies and store them in the fridge in easy to go containers or baggies. This also helps to make nutritious snacks to go. Chopped up veggies make it easy to throw in a soup or salad. You can even steam them for meals. Preparing fruits and veggies beforehand makes it easier to eat and use them.

*Plan. Instead of relying on your emotions or hunger pains, plan ahead what you are going to prepare for meals. Plan at least a week's worth of meals and snacks. This way you will be less tempted to eat whatever.
